Alison's Philosophy: "I believe teachers teach what we need to learn for ourselves. One reason that I love my work is because teaching yoga allows me to remain ever a student, both in regard to yoga and human nature. I teach yoga in a way that will hopefully help students feel more connection in this rather disconnected world we live in. I encourage students to open their hearts and still their minds, while physically honoring their limitations and finding their full ability. I believe yoga classes should impose no belief system or dogma, yet I do incorporate bits and pieces of many teachings of various belief systems that I have studied. If it 'sings to me', I share it in the hopes that it may 'sing' to others. My wish is that these lessons may open minds and possibly support or deepen existing beliefs. Whether teaching kids or adults, I share the exploration of yoga with a playful, curious and loving attitude."
